ioko becomes the latest UK Microsoft Solutions Partner to expand their product portfolio to include EPiServer, one of the world’s leading .NET Content Management Systems.
In addition to building bespoke web solutions on the EPiServer platform, ioko has selected EPiServer for use within its successful health division, Carelink, for the creation of NHS Core Site, a standard solution for NHS web sites.
“We are delighted that ioko has selected EPiServer as its pure .NET platform for web solutions” says Lars-Olof Norell, CEO at EPiServer. “ioko are already implementing their first bespoke EPiServer solutions and they have made a huge commitment to our platform by developing NHS Core Site for the health market. To have such an important supplier to the NHS make this commitment is a major boost for us in the UK.”
Steve Saxton, Partner Manager at ioko explains the decision to link-up with EPiServer. “ioko remains one of Microsoft’s largest and most committed partners but we had an increasing demand from our customer base for a content management solution that is 100% .NET. EPiServer provides us with a class leading solution that comes with a great deal of functionality out-of-the box and no limit on users. This means we can continue to deliver world class dynamic solutions to our customers with the benefits of the .NET framework, lower development costs and lower licence fees.”
Simon Hudson, General Manager of Carelink, adds “The development of NHS Core Site is a significant investment for ioko and we looked very carefully at a number of .NET CMS products before choosing EPiServer. Carelink works with over 200 NHS clients and many of these require the functionality of enterprise class content management, with emphasis on WAI Accessibility compliance and ease of use, but have very tight budgets. Our partnership with EPiServer and the investment we have made in NHS Core Site enables us to satisfy these demands.”
Organisations attracted to Microsoft’s .NET technology, and with an eye on value for money, should consider EPiServer as a platform for future Web developments and content aggregation. Butler Group, June 2005 |
