N3 problems leave users unable to access internet

According to E-Health Insider, 05 Jan 2007, an update to the internet gateway of the NHS's new national network (N3) continues to create problems for users accessing the internet, with NHS staff reporting either very slow connections or being unable to access e-mails on mobile devices.

There also appear to be issues with the NHS mail gateways rejecting inbound email. Details of this are sparse at present, but the effect appears to be widespread.
