Who are the LSPs, NISP and NASPs
NPfIT has brought to conclusion a number of procurements to support the National Programme including those for the roles of Local Service Providers (LSPs), National Application Service Providers (NASPs) – i.e. the data spine and Electronic Booking – and a National Infrastructure Provider (NISP).
The Electronic Booking contract was awarded to SchlumbergerSema in October 2003. The NASP contract (BT) and the LSP contracts for London (BT) and the North East (Accenture) were awarded on 5th December, a public announcement followed on 8th December.
The LSP contracts for the Eastern and North West/ West Midlands cluster were awarded on 23rd December to Accenture for the East and CSC (Computer Science Corporation) for the North West. The Southern cluster contract was awarded on 26th January 2004 to The Fujitsu Alliance.
The NISP (N3) contract was awarded to BT on 19th February 2004.
