During February 2005 we ran an Architectural Design Seminar in partnership with Microsoft and a representative group from the NHS , with an aim to understand how SharePoint technologies could be used within the NHS, what pressing issues being faced by the NHS might be addressed and what features and developments of SharePoint are needed.

As an outcome of this meeting it was requested that an NHS SharePoint User group be created where the dialogue could be continued and experiences exchanged.

 This user group is centred around a secure SharePoint site allowing interactivity amongst the members, exchange of documents and ongoing identification of needs and features. The site may be accessed from either the internet or the NHSnet.
