The release of a huge swathe of new Microsoft technologies later this year (currently November 2006), including MS Office 2007, Windows Vista and Exchange 2007 (known by MS as the EVO2007 launch)is a major milestone. These are supplemented by an even broader set of additional technologies, including Office Live, Real Server, Forefront, search, PerformancePoint and more.
Each one of these launches both addresses known shortcomings in the current technology and adds a substantial new range of features. 
Importantly the new features largely focus on broad areas of business need that were either not addressed or weakly supported in the current releases. For example Records Management is now a standard capability. This translates to much richer, more capable business solutions at a greatly lower cost than before. We have already deliver the first Office 2007 solution for one of the worlds largest finance sector clients and are implementing at a number of NHS organisations at present.
